NGfL Cymru, on behalf of WAG, is striving to comply with all of the Priority 1 and 2 accessibility checkpoints across its web presence, as established in the World Wide Web Consortium’s (W3C) web accessibility initiative (WAI). The WAI promotes a high degree of usability and accessibility for people with disabilities. The W3C promotes good practice amongst the web community via initiatives like WAI ( http://www.w3.org/WAI) Web Contact Accessibility Guidelines 1.0.
It is possible that some of our older pages might not currently conform to these standards. However, we are working towards ensuring that all future web pages are compliant with W3C guidelines for accessibility.
The website is designed with the following accessibility guidelines in mind:
Pages are designed so that they can be viewed at a screen resolution of 800 x 600 pixels.
Page structure is conveyed using header elements.
The use of stylesheets and relative font sizes on all text with the exception of graphical text.
Text can be increased or decreased in size by using the "view" option in your browser.
Images that convey important information have alternative text. Where an image is used for a decorative purpose the alternative text will be left blank.
No information is exclusively conveyed using colour.
